So, I'm in Lincoln, NE... actually about four miles outside of the edge of Lincoln. I don't normally like coming to Lincoln because my extended family is usually really stressful. But, the fact that I'm not staying with my grandparents makes things WAY easier. We're driving back to Ames tomorrow, and then I don't know whether I'm leaving for Iowa City on the first (tomorrow afternoon) or on the second. I should probably figure it out, since I'm giving somebody a ride to IC. I should also offer a ride to another boy in the band who's from Ames. We'll see how that goes.
Speaking of band, we're scheduled to meet and leave for Miami in the early, early hours on the third. And by early hours, I mean we're meeting in a parking lot at 2:30 in the morning. Holy crap, I hope I can sleep on the plane. And I GOT A NEW SWIMSUIT. It's super cute. My mom was helping me tie strings and whatnot so that trying on the swimsuits wouldn't take forever. When I tried on the top that I ended up getting, my mom said it was too small. I felt comfortable in it, so we asked my family friend, Heather, for a second opinion. She flat-out turned to my mom and said "Tammy, you're thinking too much like a mom." It made me smile. It also turned out that the top I ended up getting was reversible, so that was kind of cool.
I'm not really that girly, but I get excited about swimsuits, I guess. I'm weird. I don't like the fact that the car ride between Lincoln and Ames is like four bazillion hours. It's actually like four... so that's a little better than four bazillion I guess. I'm still allowed to be pessimistic about it, I think.
