jittery

There are drunk people outside my window. It's nothing new, really, but since my window was smashed in, I've gotten to be a little more paranoid. Some girl dropped her lighter down over by my window, where there's an recess down kind of INTO the ground... I think there might be another apartment down there... I'm not sure. But, this girl was acting pretty harmless, joking that she couldn't go get her lighter because a troll lived down there.

It made me smile a little bit. And then something hit my window, and I definitely jumped. Then the same girl who was trollin' it up just a minute earlier said "Joel, don't do that, that's her bedroom!" Like, in a sympathetic way towards me, which was good, I guess. So, now that it's my first night with a window again, I didn't want to be bitchy and have my window smashed in again, but I did draw open my blinds and wave. One of the girls out there just said something along the lines of "sorry!" and then went about talking.

The window is also not completely sealed; one of the things around the edge that would help keep it airtight broke when the original window was broken with the original window. So, I'll be emailing the company that owns my apartments in order to get somebody to come caulk it up or something. I'm cold, and I don't think I need to be. Especially when I'm paying for the damn heat.
