So, I'm currently watching Law & Order: Criminal Intent... Stephen Colbert is playing the bad guy.
I was like WHAT??? Actually, I'm still like WHAT???
"James," played by Stephen Colbert is being arrested NOW for forging letters and killing a lady with a present that was filled with lye. Colbert's supposed to be funny, NOT all serious and bad-like.
What is so wrong with this world that Law & Order gets Colbert to play the bad guy?

Dude, typecasting sucks. Let him do what he wants to! :P
Though I agree, that does seem very strange. Bet he got a kick out of having a serious role, just thinking about what all of his fans would think.
