So, we went out last night. What I'm going to need to remember for the future is that I live a LOT farther from downtown than I did last year, lol. I made the trek in heels.
Also, it doesn't take much to get attention in Iowa City. I was literally one block away from my house, when a car full of guys decided to be ridiculous. Welcome to Iowa City, right? Seeing as how these were college age guys, it didn't really bug me that they were pretty much acting their age. What irked me was the middle-aged guy driving a car that I crossed (a street) in front of who opened his window and simply said "You're gorgeous." Um, eww and um, creepy. Middle-aged men who go out to drink downtown in IC with the college kids are... I don't know. I think creepy and weird are really the only two ways that I can describe them.
It's a good thing that I've got a bunch of band friends to cuddle up to now, just in case any creepy middle-aged men show up.
