After a very long period of cleaning last night, I found the cutting board in our apartment. This means that I can return the one that I bought yesterday at Wally World. Which might be a good thing, because I have to go buy a storagey thing to put my stuff in in the bathroom, because the majority of my stuff is going under the sink, I believe. So, a trip to Wally World is on the schedule for sometime today.
Yesterday, I had decided that I was going to call maintenance and have them come put some blinds up today. I've currently got a (rather tacky) piece of black, vinyl-y fabric hanging over my window. I've got a bookshelf sort of thing next to the window whose only purpose is holding the black fabric up and out of the way when I want light coming in my room. I actually wouldn't really care if there was anything over my window, but my window faces the walkway into the building. And, by "faces," I mean that it's actually right on the walkway and I'm kind of on exhibition whenever my window is uncovered.
So, I got up this morning and brushed my teeth and whatnot, and then called the maintenance guy. He said he'd come take some measurements for the blinds (I thought I'd let them buy them), but they probably won't be able to install them until tomorrow sometime. So, that means that my bookshelf is occupied by the black, vinyl-y piece of fabric until tomorrow sometime. This, in turn, means that I can't unpack my last couple of boxes, because the majority of their contents will be going onto the shelf that's holding up the fabric.
I also bought a corner lamp yesterday. It's going in the corner... where my unpacked boxes are. So, in order to assemble and place the lamp, I'm going to need to have the blinds up, lol. So, I guess that's waiting until tomorrow.
On another note, I'm still trying to decide how it is I want to decorate my walls, exactly. No posters.
I think I'll go do one or two geocaches that are kind of close, and then I'll come back and make myself some lunch.
sorry i write about such mundane stuff

pictures! art! a bunch of magazine covers! a tie-dyed sheet! a plethora of pretty postcards! put up poster board so your friends can draw on your walls when they visit! call toast and ask to borrow her hundreds of movie backercards from blockbuster! (but she wouldn't let you.) take an awesome picture and find it in high resolution online, then blow it up to be like 4x6 feet or whatever and print it out and put all of the pages together and make a huge mural!
that's all I got for now. I'll come up with more later.
