I woke up and went to my 8:30 seminar, which kind of sucked a lot, but that's okay. I walked back to my dorm room afterward, and immediately took my shoes off and jumped back in bed. I most definitely went back to sleep... for about four hours!!! Our Engineering Problem Solving lecture section is done, so now I only have to go to that class Mondays and Wednesdays instead of Mondays through Thursdays!
SO, I got out of bed like, 1:30ish, yeah? And then I check my e-mail, and realize that some elementary kids are coming to the engineering building to learn about like, engineering and crap. I had volunteered for that, but wasn't sure if the people in charge of it were going to need my help or not... I found out today that they did need my help, so I shot my band grad staff guy an email to tell him I was going to be late, and then got ready to go...
We made bunny copters. Basically, just paper helicopter like things that were supposed to be rabbit-like... The templates we gave the 3rd-6th graders had a bunny's face on the "body," and they were supposed to cut between the rabbit's "ears." It was kind of cool. I'd like to think that I did well when it comes to working with these kids... I know that the lady in charge liked me---I'm going back next Thursday morning to talk for like a half-hour to some juniors in high school who are interested in engineering... that should be fun, I guess.
So, I show up to band, and at this point, I had to run like, half of pregame, and then we ran through halftime... And then we were done, lol. And now, I don't really have anything that really needs to get done, but I'll probably end up doing some crap anyways. Like, after I get done with this blog...
i need to go put my laundry in the dryer
Just kidding, I guess... after I get done with this blog, I'll go switch the laundry over, and THEN get some homework-y crap done.
OH, and my family's coming out tomorrow---like, my parents, my sister, and my aunt. They're going to be sitting in a bar at some point to see what the beer band is all about, lol. And my aunt's going to come watch band rehearsal tomorrow; she was in the marching band at the University of Nebraska... as were my parents, but they can't come out that early tomorrow, lol.
